Born in 1978 in Wakayama, Japan.
Based in Tokushima, they are both a developer of cosmetics and quasi-drugs and a practicing artist.
Having spent their teenage years in the UK and later immersed in the world of street art in their twenties, they contributed as an assistant and attendant to the twin street artists “OS GEMEOS” from São Paulo, Brazil, during the major exhibition Neo-Tropicalia: Brazilian Creativity held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (MOT) in 2008.
They held their first solo exhibition in 2012.
In 2021, they shifted their focus to photography, expanding their activities to exhibitions, international magazines, musician photo shoots, traditional crafts, and work with foreign media. They also elevate the traditional Japanese indigo dyeing process into the realm of cosmetics, fostering a dialogue with materials rooted in Japan’s climate and culture, while sharing refined craftsmanship both domestically and internationally.
Following the industrial revolution’s mass production and consumption and the rise of a more rationalized lifestyle, the cyclical patterns of life from the Edo period, along with the core Japanese aesthetic found in traditional crafts and performing arts, have slowly faded. Yet, like the roots of the mountains that cradle them, these ideals continue to live on beneath the surface. Their works capture the “presence” akin to the air itself, and the beauty imbued in the finest details, through the process of creation.

1978年、和歌山生まれ。
徳島を拠点に、化粧品・医薬部外品の開発者としても活動しながら、アーティストとしての顔を持つ。
10代で渡英し、20代にはストリートアーティストとして活動。その後、東京都現代美術館（MOT）で開催された大規模展覧会「ネオ・トロピカリア：ブラジルの創造力」（2008年）では、ブラジル・サンパウロ出身の双子ストリートアーティスト「OS GEMEOS（オス・ジェメオス）」の制作アシスタント兼アテンダーを務めた。2012年に個展を開催。2021年より表現を写真に移行し、展覧会や外国人向けのマガジン、ミュージシャンの撮影、伝統工芸、海外メディアなどで活動を広げている。また、伝統工芸である藍染を化粧品に昇華させ、日本の風土や文化に基づいた素材との対話、そして鍛錬された技術を国内外に発信している。
産業革命以降、大量生産・大量消費、合理的なライフスタイルが広がり、その結果、江戸時代の生活にあった循環性や、伝統工芸、伝統芸能などの根幹にある日本の美意識は薄れつつある。しかし、山の根を抱くように、その美意識は今なお根底に息づいている。ものづくりのプロセスを通じて映し出される空気のような「気配」や、細部に宿る美意識を写真に捉え、作品として発表している。
